When PCX 150 is the right scooter for Samui adventure?

I rode the full ring road counterclockwise two-up on the PCX 150 last March - 62 km of coastal and elevated tarmac - and my pillion stayed comfortable throughout, the suspension soaking up the Mae Nam concrete joins without her bracing and the wide seat holding shape over the Nathon climbs. The same loop on the NMAX carried less pillion comfort on those joins. Across four straight days of 55 to 65 km, the PCX's low-vibration engine and soft springs left me clearly less fatigued by days three and four. On the tree-lined west coast road I held 75 km/h for 18 km with the engine inaudible over the wind. A Spanish couple swapped a Scoopy for it after one uncomfortable 30 km coastal day. Solo distance work is where I take the NMAX instead. Pick the PCX for two riders over 30 km a day, multi-day touring or coastal cruising - the relaxed middle between Scoopy and NMAX.
